We would like to welcome you to join the team once again for the 2025 season and participate in a sport that is fast moving and highly skilled.
Hockey Australia and Hockey WA’s mandatory Membership Levy and Insurance are still in place, this amount is included within your Lakers fees as listed below:

Junior registrations please note – if you are unable to register for your age group it is because we have reached the maximum number of players. Please email juniors@lakers.asn.au to add your child’s name to a waiting list. We cannot guarantee names on the waiting list will be allocated a team.
If you are a Senior Player who is wanting to join as a Casual or FIFO Player please select Game Membership, for all other senior and junior registrations please select Full Membership.
Hockey Australia has increased their compulsory player levy by $11.50 this season. Whilst the club is unable to reduce a portion of the playing fee as we have in previous years to offset this, we have worked hard to keep the overall fees nearly the same as last year—just rounding up to the nearest whole dollar. In fact, the fee you’re paying now is essentially the same amount as it was in 2020. We are proud to say that the Joondalup Lakers Hockey Club offers some of the most affordable fees in the metro area, if not the lowest. We hope this helps everyone continue enjoying our fantastic sport and the great community at our club, while also attracting new members to our growing family.
NEW! - For the first time we have introduced a “Year 13” registration class for all those who have finished in Junior’s last season and will be moving in to Senior's this year. This means that a "Year 13" player will only have to pay the same cost as those in Year’s 9-12 for their first year of seniors, regardless of whether you are working, studying or anything else. We hope this can be taken up by as many members as possible.
KidSport
KidSport enables Western Australian children to participate in community sport and recreation. KidSport enables eligible Western Australian children aged 5 to 18 years to participate in community sport by offering them financial assistance of up to $500 per financial year towards club fees and now essential uniforms. Click here to see if your child is eligible. Once your application has been completed and you are eligible, you will be contaced via email with a voucher number. Please email this to Neil - treasurer@lakers.asn.au - and the club will be able to provide the discount

NEW! - This year we have teamed up with Australian Sports Foundation which will enable you to make tax deductible donations to our club.
How does it work? During the registration process you will be asked if you wish to make a fully tax deductible donation to our club via ASF. You can choose an amount or listed or specify your own. Payment will be taken with your registration fees and ASF will email you the receipt for your donation, which you can claim on your tax return. ASF will take a 5% fee from this amount and Lakers will receive the rest.
Since October 1st 2020 Joondalup Lakers have utilised the Containers for Change scheme to provide a steady revenue stream, coupled with other fundraisers, to ensure our club's fees are kept as low as possible. Currently we have saved in excess of 146 000 containers and are setting a new target of 45,000 containers by October this year, but we need your help to acheive this through the Containers for Change scheme.
This is known as passive fundraising, meaning you have already purchased the eligible drink containers, we are just asking you to donate the 10c refund per container to Joondalup Lakers.
